Uploading as Unsubscribes & Hard Bouncebacks - Contacts not Being Added to the Database

When navigating to Audience > Contacts, and attempting to perform a manual upload of new contacts, none of these contacts were added to the database even though a notification email was received saying that the upload was successful.
