Oracle Document Transfer Utility - Testing the GenericSoapPort connection (Doc ID 1969506.1)

Symptoms

Trying to make the connection from a client system to a Fusion Applications server.

Using the Oracle Document Oracle Document Transfer Utility with the oracle.ucm.fa_genericclient_11.1.1.jar. 

The WebCenter Content Document Transfer utility was downloaded:

   1.  Go to the page: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/webcenter/content/downloads/wcc-11g-downloads-2734036.html
   2.  Expand the section: Individual Component Downloads
   3.  The Client Component is: WebCenter Content Document Transfer Utility

After extracting the zip attempt to run the jar file in a terminal.   The error happens:

java -classpath /ODTU/librarymanfiest.jar -jar oracle.ucm.fa_genericclient_11.1.1.jar UploadTool --url=https://hostname.oraclecloud.com/idcws --username=xxxxx --password=xxxxx --policy=oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy --ping
Web Servive stack is not in classpath. Call tool directly - e.g. java -classpath ... oracle.ucm.idcws.DownloadTool -url=...
URLClassLoader entries:
file:/ODTU/oracle.ucm.fa_genericclient_11.1.1.jar



Changes

Establishing connection to the server for the first time with the Document Transfer Utility GenericSoap jar file.

 

NOTE: 

The tool is upgraded each UCM version. The new version of libraries can be found  ${MW_HOE}\Oracle_ECM1\ucm\Distribution\FAProv\ (in 11g) or in in ${ORACLE_HOME}/wccontent/ucm/Distribution/FAProv (in 12c).
