How to Use Current Site Environment in BML (Doc ID 1989046.1)

Last updated on MAY 08, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 12.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

If a rule uses site-specific information in a BML function, migration can be a problem since each rule would have to be manually altered to work properly on other environments. This can be prevented by setting the variable (which holds the site-specific values) within a series of if/else statements, and each testing for the current environment.   This document will outline the approach of using the user attribute "BM_USER_COMPANY" to base these conditionals off of.
