Unable To Use Custom Formula Field In Agreement Rules

Symptoms

When attempting to use a Formula Field in Agreement Rules, the merge is not successful.

ERROR

The Industry value of the two accounts is not the same and the Owners are different, so the Accounts cannot be automatically merged.

STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
(1) Create two accounts:

BCL DQ 060215 #1 (London, GB)
BCL DQ 060215 #2 (Berlin, DE)

Note: The Industry value is the same, but the ‘Owner’ values are different. Owner is the newTerritoryOwner formula field. The Accounts should therefore be blocked from being merged.


(2)Enter the two Accounts into a merge request

Note: Instead of being ‘rejected’, the Duplicate Resolution Request has a status of ‘New’ meaning the Agreement rule has failed.

Note: After removing the formula field from the rule and then modifying the Industry of one of the Accounts, the agreement rule is successful in rejecting the merge request.
