How to Import Assets in Add-On mode or Renewals mode (Doc ID 1999309.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines Express CPQ Cloud Service for - Version Spring 15 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Add-On Mode:

When a customer is requesting additional quantities of products that they already own or have purchased in the past, the sales user can quickly prepare an add-on quote by importing assets onto the new add-on quote. This allows the sales user to quickly match the pricing on the add-on quote with the original quote. Additionally, if the administrator has automatic renewals enabled, import assets ensures that the already created renewal quotes are updated with the new quantities.

Renewals Mode:

If Manual Renewals are enabled sales reps can choose the Renewals mode for importing assets. This mode allows sales reps to select some or all active renewable assets from the account, automatically merge duplicates, and save them to the renewal quote. This eliminates the need to sift through paper contracts or old quotes and manually add and price products saving time and reducing errors.
