Corente Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) 9.2 - Deprecated Features Advisory (Doc ID 2002904.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 08, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle CloudNet Gateway Cloud Service - Version 9.0 to 9.2 [Release 9.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The following Corente Cloud Services Exchange (CSX) features are being deprecated as of version 9.2:

  1. 32-bit machine gateway deployments- will no longer be supported as of the next release, version 9.4. Corente Services Gateway (CSG)  software will only be supported on 64-bit architecture hardware.

The deprecation will have an impact on only if you have deployed a Corente Services Gateway (CSG) on a 32-bit architecture machine.  Once the Oracle SCP has been upgraded to support version 9.4, you may still run the 32-bit gateway machine on your Corente network, but you will no longer able to upgrade your 32-bit gateway machine to take advantage of the new features and updates beyond version 9.2
  2. Corente SSL Client - will no longer be made available, nor supported in the next release of Corente Cloud Services Exchange (9.4).

When the SCP is updated to version 9.4, you will not be able to administer or make any changes to your SSL Clients in your Corente network.  SSL Clients will also no longer work.

De-support of these features is expected to be effective as of version 9.4, planned for the 3rd quarter of calendar year 2016 (subject to change at Oracle’s discretion).

32-bit Deployments - You should re-install the CSG software on compatible x86 64-bit hardware, and remove the 32-bit gateway machine from your Corente network.  In the event that issues arise and your CSG is not on the latest release, you may be asked to upgrade to the latest CSG version in order for Oracle to provide technical support.

SSL Clients - All SSL Clients should be removed from the Corente network.  Alternatively, you can download and install the Corente Remote Access Client (software-based IPSec client) on the Windows platform, or use the Corente Mobile Client (on iOS or Android).
