An error occurs when attempting to set the date of an attribute within a commerce library function.. When the date value is 03/31/yyyy it works, but not when it is 04/31/yyyy.

When attempting to perform an action on the quote the date does not show, instead the following error occurs:
strtojavadate() function: The date string "04/31/2016" cannot be converted to date object with format "MM/dd/yyyy".
