Symptoms

On : 11.1.9.2.0 version, UK - United Kingdom Legislation

When attempting to change the employee NI category code to E,
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
1. Error when no SCON is entered
Error
You must enter a SCON if the NI category is E. (HRK-1561474)

2. Error when SCON is entered
Error: The SCON fails the check for a valid SCON.
(HRK-1560031)

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Under Setup and Maintenance>Task Manage Payroll Lookups for UK
2. Add SCON in the lookup code HRX_GB_SCON
3. Under Manage Payroll Calculation Information for employee change the employee's Calculation Component NI category to code E.
4. Try to save changes and error YOu must enter a SCON if the NI category is E. (HRK-1561474) occurs
5. Go back and enter SCON Error: The SCON fails the check for a valid SCON.(HRK-1560031)
