Opportunity Not Automatically Updating When Sync is On and Quote is Updated

When syncing a quote to the opportunity and a change to the Contract Term Express CPQ field on the quote occurs, it is meant to update a formula on the opportunity.
A workflow rule does not fire which updates the fields on the opportunity based on the formula field.
Instead, the user must stop the sync and start a new sync to update the field within the opportunity.
