'Remote Region' Error When Trying to Access the Historical Rate Form after Selecting Ledger

When attempting to access the Historical Rate form, after entering the ledger, (which is not getting picked up) and clicking on DONE, the following error occurs.
Unable to retrieve content. Additional information for "Remote Region error #9":
An error occurred while invoking task Manage Historical Rates. Review the FunctionalSetupServer logs for more details on this error. Contact your help desk..
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup and Maintenance - Manage Currency Rate Types
2. Click on the Historial Rate tab.
3. Select LEDGER from List of values. (the ledger doesn't get selected)
4. Click DONE and error occurs.
