Searching For Account Gives Unwanted Results (Doc ID 2028588.1)

Goal

There is a customer called "Caterpillar Work Tools BV". When searching for

1) Cat - No results
2) Cater - 2 results with accounts which do look similar to Cater. But no Caterpillar is presented while it's an exact match.
3) Caterpil - 1 result with accounts which do look similar. But no Caterpillar is presented while it's an exact match.
4) Caterpill - Match is found.

Due to this users are sometimes struggling in order to find the correct customer record.

already tried the following:
a) Went through the task: manage search profile options - Everything looked OK.
b) Went through the task: manage search view objects - Everything looked OK, the field Name is part of the search index.

How can the search options be more optimized? In order to have direct hit, at least on the exact matches.
