Worksheet Sort As Top-level Manager Gives Error: A Connection To The Server Has Failed. (status=503)

On : 18.104.22.168.0 version, Manage Compensation
User encounters the following error when performing sort on compensation worksheet
"A connection to the server has failed. (Status 503)"
The error has been reproduced across 3 browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox & Chrome)
It is discovered that when customer uses the Act as Proxy Manager function to proxy in as the top-level manager (which results in all employees displaying on the worksheet ~ 19000) and attempt to perform a sort by one of the Worksheet columns, the worksheet hangs for a few minutes before returning the error
User should be able complete the Sort without encountering an error.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Compensation -> Workforce Compensation -> Act as proxy
2. Proxy in as Highest Manager
3. Peform sort on worksheet Columns
4. The error "A connection to the server has failed. (Status 503)" is displayed
