When attempting to end date a Court Order the following error occurs.
'You must use a single calculation type for each Deduction of Earnings Order"
'The effective end date cannot be earlier than the effective end date of the child record'
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) On 01/07/2015, create a 'Deduction From Earnings' Court order for an employee
2) End date the Court Order as on 31/07/2015 (Note: payroll not processed yet)
To end date the court order, end date the child records first.
Go to Calculation Component details> End date 'Deduction from Earnings Order> Click on Save>we get an error message 'You must use a single calculation type for each Deduction of Earnings Order'
- Click on Cancel
- Now try to end date the other child components. We are successfully able to end date the following:
Calculation Component Details>Involuntary Deduction Information
Enterable Calculation Values
Now end date the court order component "Deduction From Earnings Order'> We get the error 'The effective end date cannot be earlier than the effective end date of the child record'
And as mentioned above, we are not able to end date the child record 'Deduction from Earnings Order' under Calculation Component Details.
Hence not able to end date the court order.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot end date court orders.
