Goal
Certificates are used for either authenticated single sign-on with an external website, or when using your organization as an identity provider. You only need to generate an Eloqua certificate if an external website needs verification that a request is coming from an Eloqua organization. If your certificate has expired, this would mean that your users would cease the ability to use SSO for logging into Eloqua.
