Approval Workflow Malfunctioning

There is setup approval workflow using Business Process as an action in object workflow. The Business Process that we are using is the standard business process called ExtnBusinessProcessComposite and are providing following as parameters

1. Approvers
2. heldEntityStatusField
3. emailAddress
4. title1
5. title2

in the first parameter, which is the approvers, passing a string containing 4 user Ids for example <USERID1>,<USERID2>, <USERID3> .

When the workflow gets triggered first person which is <USERID1> gets a notification and he approves then <USERID2> gets the notification and it keeps on flowing till the last person which is <USERID3>. If all of them approves one by one then the status gets changed to Approved from Approval Pending.

ISSUE: when any of the users rejects it the notification still reaches to the next person and status stays in approval pending , only if the last person in the list rejects it , the status becomes rejected.


Ideally if one person rejects it should not reach to the next person as a notification and flow should end there instantly.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Login To App
- NAV to Expense Claims - Business Travel Request
- Create new Business Travel Expense Claim
- Fill out all required fields
- Click Save and Close
- Send it for approval
- One of the approvers rejects it in between.
- The next approver still gets notification

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot have rejection process.
