Contact First Name Search Does Not Function on Mobile Sales Application (Doc ID 2078137.1)

Symptoms

Contact First Name Search Does Not Function on Mobile Sales Application

This issue can be recreated using an additional user.  It also seems to be affected by the record set, as well as whether the field is set as "starts with" or "equals"

Specifics:
User 1 creates John Smith in browser, then logs in to mobile app.
User 1 searches Contacts with the following parameters:
Record Set: All Account Contacts (default)
First Name limiter: STARTS WITH (default)
Enter value: John
Result: Record appears

User 2 desires to search for user 1's contact in the mobile app
User 2 searches Contacts with the following parameters
Record Set: All Account Contacts (default)
First name limiter: STARTS WITH (default)
Enter value: John
Result: No record returned

User 2 then modifies the search as follows:
Record Set: All Account Contacts (default)
First name limiter: EQUALS (not the default)
Enter value: John
Result: Record is correctly returned

Note that user 2 also sees the correct result if record set is set to All
Contacts (or another qualifying record set)

Therefore, the issue appears to be due to a combination of the three
following factors:
Contact Creator / Owner
Record Set
Field "equals" vs "Starts with"
