Cannot Change Project Type to Invalid or Archive in Instantis EnterpriseTrack

When attempting to change a Project Type from "Valid" to "Archived" or "Invalid" an error message appears saying
"Error while creating a new Project Type. Please correct the errors shown below, and try again. The Roadmap that you unselected is used in one or more Charters and/or Projects. Please reselect it."
