After Express CPQ Renewals License Has Expired, Editing Opportunities Causes Error [Insufficient Privileges] (Doc ID 2089625.1)

Symptoms

After Renewals license has expired on a Salesforce org and a user attempts to edit an Opportunity, the following error occurs.

Insufficient Privileges


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Ensure Renewals license has expired and/or has been deactivated by provisioning team
  2. Go to Opportunity
  3. Click Edit
  4. Change any value (this step is not necessary)
  5. Click Save


BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
Due to this issue, users cannot modify Opportunities.
