Re-triggering a Hiding Rule Does Not Hide a Commerce Panel (Doc ID 2099823.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 2015 R1 to 2015 R2 Update 6 [Release 2015]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When creating a new transaction, a hiding rule is triggered by default. This hiding rule hides all of the attributes and results in the panel being completely hidden. When the hiding rule condition is no longer met, the panel shows as expected. The issue occurs when an attempt to re-trigger the hiding rule is made. The behavior seen is that the attributes are hidden but the panel is still shown. The title of that panel is shown but there are no contents shown within the panel.

This particular scenario can only be triggered when an attribute that is within the panel is being hidden via Document Views. This does not matter if a hiding rule is also acting on that attribute.

 An upgrade to 2015 R1.
