Goal

On 11.1.10.0.0

Application users had trouble using the fixed choice list fields.
When trying to update multiple drop down lists on the same object the field reverts back to the original value. This occurs both in Simplified UI and Classic UI.
An example of this is updating different currencies for revenue lines on an Opportunity. If we change the first revenue line from the default value GBP to USD then move to the second revenue line too quickly, the first revenue line currency switches back to GBP. Another example is changing profile values in Setup and Maintenance tasks. This causes frustration with some of the users, and customer needs this improved with later versions.

Expected behavior
------------------------------
Update a fixed choice list field without the value reverting back to the original value immediately after. Also, not be initially blocked from selecting one value.

Steps to reproduce
-----------------------------
1. Go to Navigator > Opportunities > Create Opportunity
2. Click on Save and continue
3. go to Products > Add > Select Product Name > Add > Select Product Name > Select USD as new Currency for one revenue line > Select Currency field for other revenue line.
