XSL to Excel Output Corrupted Because of Error [XML PARSE ERROR: Missing end-tag] (Doc ID 2102796.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to open an Excel output generated by a print action, Excel will generate an error message that will either say:

  1. The file is corrupt and cannot be opened



  2. Problems came up in the following areas during load: Table. This file cannot be opened because of errors.

The location of the error may vary depending on where Microsoft Office is installed and current user settings.

Note: Make sure to check first Unable to Open Excel Output Resulting in Error [The file is corrupt and cannot be opened] to make sure that the issue is not related to these documents.

 

Changes

 The attribute used in the XSL file for Excel contains a large amount of data and is parsed by str:split or str:tokenize in the XSL.
