Proxy takes user to Desktop UI (Doc ID 2103361.1)

Symptoms

On 11.1.10.0.0

When trying to switch to a different user, customer is automatically taken to the Classic/Desktop UI instead of Simplified.
Then, if trying to click the Home icon, instead of going to the SUI, customer receives an error:

"Navigation failed due to invalid web application name: customer"

If start the proxy within SUI, it is not taken to the SUI as the proxied user, why ?
