How do resolve the GMS_AWD_ONE_ACT_PI error during Award Import?

Error Message:
A principal investigator already exists for this period. Change the start date and end date for the principal investigator so that it does not overlap the date range of another principal investigator assigned to this award. Otherwise, change the name or role of the personnel, as required.
