Active Commerce Tab is Changed when Tab is Hidden on Step Transition (Doc ID 2110175.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 2014 R2 to 2015 R2 [Release 2014 to 2015]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When opening the nth tab and performing the transition action you remain on the nth tab, no matter which tab this is and if it's the same tab label. And if there are less than n tabs visible after the transition, no tab is selected. Expected behavior is to remain on the same tab, no matter which position this tab gets after transition. If the tab is hidden after transition, the first tab should be active (like when opening a quote).

This also happens on sub-document layout, if you navigate between line items and tabs are hidden for models or for parts.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to a Commerce layout and make X number of tabs (e.g. Tab 1-Tab 5).

2. In Steps, set one of the X tabs to be hidden after a transition (Hide Tab2).

3. On the quote the following behaviors will be observed:

           a. If Tab 1 is selected before the transition, it will still be selected after the transition.

           b. If Tab 2-4 is selected before the transition, the next Tab will be selected after the transition (Tab 2 -> 3; Tab 3 -> 4; Tab 4 -> 5).

           c. If Tab 5 is selected, no tab will be selected after the transition showing no data for that group.

This has been reproduced on Versions between 2014 R2, 2015 R1and 2015 R2.
