Symptoms

When attempting to clear phone number and save the account screen, the following error occurs.

The phone number is invalid. You must enter a valid phone type and phone number


Reproducible Steps


1) Log into Fusion Applications

2) Navigate to Accounts

3) Open an existing Account where Phone number is not null

4) Clear Phone number and Hit Save

5) Error "The phone number is invalid. You must enter a valid phone type and phone number" comes up


Due to this issue, users cannot clear phone number and save the account screen
