Printer Friendly XSLs are Migrated as Dependencies Regardless of User Selection

(Doc ID 2115347.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle BigMachines CPQ Cloud Service - Version 2015 R2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On 2015 R2, when migrating commerce using the granular migration feature, if a Printer Friendly XSL file is linked to an item that is included in the migration, then regardless of the user choice when asked, the dependent printer friendly XSL files will be migrated.

For example, when migrating Steps, and there is a step transition notification that uses a Printer Friendly XSL in the email:

Prior to the start of the migration, the system will generate a pop-up asking if dependencies should be migrated:

The Printer Friendly XSL is not a selection option in this menu and will be migrated. If the user chooses not to migrate the File Attachment attribute, the Printer Friendly XSL file is still migrated.

This only has an impact if the Printer Friendly XSL is based on an uploaded XSL, as opposed to pointing to a Doc Engine or Doc Designer document.

Changes

Upgrade to 2015 R2 and use of granular commerce migration.
