OTAC/TEE: Error: "Access denied for user to path..." (Doc ID 2117357.1)

Oracle Taleo Platform Cloud Service - Reporting for OBI - Version 17.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.


Users attempt one of the following actions in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI):

  • Save changes to a report located beneath Standard Reports
  • Save a report into a folder beneath Company Shared
  • Edit or Save an Agent from a folder beneath Company Shared
  • Access OBI after setting the Starting Page to a specific dashboard or My Dashboard
  • Save a report into their personal folder (My Folders)
  • Select to "Edit" their My Dashboard in their personal folder (My Folders)
  • Attempt to save a change in their preferences under My Account (example: changing Time Zone)
  • Save customizations inside a dashboard
  • Add content to their Favorites


Agents attempt the following action:

  • To send to Home Page and Dashboard per this setting on the Destinations tab in the agent

An error similar to the following is received:


access denied for user to path /<folder path>

 Where <folder path> will be replaced with the path of where the content or modification is attempting to save to.
