ECPQ Pricing Rule overriding Sales Price set by Salesforce Field Update Workflow Rule (Doc ID 2120341.1)

Symptoms

When adding Line Items to a quote, a workflow field update rule used to update the Sales Price does not fire when specific products are added.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Ensure there is a workflow field update rule which updates the Sales Price of a Line Item based on customer specific parameters
  2. Navigate to a quote
  3. Add Line Items consisting of different products
  4. Note that certain products do not show a change in Sales Price based on the workflow formula whereas others reflect the field update.


Due to this issue, users cannot quote with accurate prices based on the customer designated workflow.

Changes

 The specific Salesforce organization is using Pricing Rules to override Sales Price for specific products.
