Transportation allowance for employees depends on Grades and hence the rates are maintained in Grade Rates.
Lets say that for an employee the Grade is X for which amount is 1000AED which gets processed in Jan-2015 payroll.
Post payroll processing, the company revised the rates ,following which the rates in Grade rates are updated that i.e the amount which was earlier 1000AED is now 2500AED.
Hence it is expected by the system to pay retro amount of 1500AED
Similarly some of the rates for allowances are maintained in User Defined Tables and for a similar business scenario, it is expected that the system must pay the appropriate retro amount.
When company revise revised the rates retroactive, some allowances should be recalculated.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run payroll
2. The company revised the rates ,following which the rates in Grade rates are updated that i.e the amount which was earlier 1000AED is now 2500AED.
3. It is expected by the system to pay retro amount of 1500AED
The user has some allowances which expet the above described behavior.
