How to Prevent Data Loss When Completing a Performance Review

When editing a Manager review, if a date or other field is entered manually and does not match the field's required formatting, the system returns an error regarding that field and all the review data that was entered is lost


"Invalid file format"

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Edit a review
2. As an example, manually type in an invalid date in a date field such as "033016" along with filling out other review data and ratings
3. Click Submit or Complete (Without clicking Save first)

The issue has the following business impact: minor
Due to this issue, users lose the information that they entered
