SRM Intermittent '500' Server Errors in Content and Apps

On : Content and Apps

When trying to access the Content & Apps section, the following error is shown: "500 Internal Server Error"

500 Internal Server Error

If user is the administrator of this website, please read this web application's log file and/or the web server's log file to find out what went wrong.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. log into specific bundle
2. go to Contents & Apps section
3. the URL changes and an error shows up: 500 Internal Server Error

The issue has the following business impact:

Due to this issue, users cannot access the Contents and Apps section of SRM.
