XER Import Hangs and Does Not Complete When Connected to an Oracle Database

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When attempting to import an XER file, connecting to an Oracle database, the import process hangs on the import wizard screen and never completes. 

  • No errors or log file entries are generated.
  • Finish button in Import wizard is grayed out.


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
XER import initiates and completes successfully.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to P6 Professional
  2. Click on File and then Import
  3. Step through the import wizard selecting the XER file that is to be imported
  4. Note the issue which occurs.
