Sales Stage Does Not Update Status To The Value Specified In The Sales Process (Doc ID 2135363.1)

When users update the opportunity Sales Stage, the Status does not update. There is a status specified for each sales stage in the Standard Sales Process. The Standard Sales Process is the default process and is the only process enabled for our environment.

The requirement is to have opportunity Status automatically update when Sales Stage is updated by the user, so that Status field can be removed from the UI.
