Error message when trying to update Start Date and End Date fields on Asset object (Doc ID 2135653.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.1.10.0.0 version, Accounts, Contacts, Households

When attempting to update the "Start Date" and the "End Date" fields for the Asset object (asset related to contact), the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
The start date must be earlier than or equal to 2016-07-23.

Customer has as Start Date: 09/07/15 and as End Date 23/07/16.
This is happening using both calendar pickers and manually entered.
Customer also tried to update using SOAP request by WebService, but same behavior.
