Symptoms

Issue while updating the Activity through Web-service

Problem 1
=============

- Customer not facing any issue with Create / update of activity through UI.
- Customer facing the issue while doing an create / update of activity through web-service.
- Their create payload include
ActivityFunctionCode
ActivityTypeCode
StatusCode
LogisticsRail_c

and in the response they get an error "The value of the attribute StatusCode is not valid"

- And once they removed 'LogisticsRail_c' and tested, the result was successful.

How removing 'LogisticsRail_c' from the request payload, get rid of the the error "The value of the attribute StatusCode is not valid"?

Problem 2
================

Step 1
---------------
Customer create a custom Fixed choice List 'Type_Copy', where they are using Standard Lookup type

Meaning : Activity Category Type values
Lookup Type : ZMM_ACTIVITY_TYPE

Step 2
----------------
Under Lookup 'ZMM_ACTIVITY_TYPE' Customer create a new Lookup code on 2016-03-29

Meaning : Quote Request
Lookup Code : Quote Request (customer changed it from QUOTE_REQUEST to Quote Request)

Step 3
-----------------

In the request they were passing

<ns3:Type_copy_c>Quote Request

Step 4
----------------------

In the response customer were getting

JBO-25072: Applying List binding LOV_For_Type_copy_c with given set of values leads to no matching row for a row of type :Activity, key oracle.jbo.Key[300000401444254 ]

What the root cause? and what is the solution?

NOTE : These rule apply to all the object and module with web services with dependent lovs, and not just Activity only.
