"Bad Alias / Connection Name" When Configuring P6 Professional for Cloud Connection via Proxy (Doc ID 2143552.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to configure a cloudconnect alias (cloud customer) for P6 Professional, it fails with error:

ERROR

Bad alias / connection name


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

   1.  Launch P6 Professional.

   2.  Click the ellipse to Add a new database alias.

   3.  Enter Driver type: P6 Professional cloud connection.

   4.  Enter proper database name (case sensitive) and URL.

   5.  Observe reported error.
