R10: Custom Object Related To Opportunity Object Is Getting Linked Automatically

R10: Custom object related to Opportunity object is getting linked automatically

Created a custom object and created relationship with Opportunity.
Its a standard custom object under sales, NOT a child custom object of Opportunity. The custom object is shown in sub tab of Opportunity.

When go to Opportunity > subtab of custom object and create a record and save and close the record, it is not linked to the Opty.

If we save the opportunity then only it is getting linked to Opty.

This was not the case in release 9, we face this issue after R10 upgrade.

On saving and closing record, it should link to opportunity

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login To App
2. Click on edit Opty
3. Click on the custom object subtab create and fill required data. click on Save and close.
4. Drill to same Opty and click again on earlier custom object. It shows no data from Opty or Opty Partner

The issue has the following business impact:
Users have UAT going on. This is hampering it.
