Fusion Goal Management: Access To Goals To Other Manager Types (not Just Line & Matrix)

Access to Goals to Other Manager Types (not just Line & Matrix)

We would like to see if an enhancement has been logged for other Manager Types having access to employee goals. Currently, if you are a Line Manager or a Matrix Manager, you automatically gain access to see/edit the goals of your direct and dotted line reports, respectively. However, we have some other custom Manager Types like Team Lead that we would also like to be able to give access to goals. The justification is that these people work closely with employees on their goals throughout the year and it is currently very cumbersome to work on this outside of the system. However, we cannot flagged these team leads as Matrix Manager as this canned manager type provides access in other modules like Compensation, and these are areas that these team leads (for example) should not access. Please advise if there is an ER, and if not, if one can be logged.

 
1. Describe how the current product is insufficient.
Currently Goal Management provides access to Line and Matrix Managers only. However, there may be other manager types that provide input or need visibility into employees goals. E.g. - a Team Lead, or Local Manager within a branch (if Line & Matrix Managers are remote)

2. Provide a detailed description of the Enhancement Request.
Define access to goals based on Manager Type instead so customers can choose which which manager types have access. An even more comprehensive solution would be to allow customers to choose what manager types have what type of access (full, edit, none, etc).

3. If possible, identify how the product can be changed to achieve the desired result.
Allow profile option or configuration to define manager type access to Goals Management.

4. Explain why Oracle Development should consider the Enhancement Request.
For customers that have more than one manager type and particularly for the customers with Line Managers who are not directly involved in goal planning, those overseeing planning may have limited visibility to their employees' goals.

5. Describe how this Enhancement will benefit the Customers business.
Currently those without visibility to goals, but guiding an employee's goal planning has to manually meet with the employee to review goals, or have to use the export functionality to generate files to view them.

6. Is this Enhancement affecting an implementation milestone?
We are live in a limited capacity, going global in 2017.

7. Please provide and describe the business flow that is affected by this Enhancement.
