Symptoms

When connecting to the P6 (web) login page, the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------
Error 500 - Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

And the P6WebAccess.html log file contains the following errors:

ERROR
-----------------------
org.springframework.jdbc.CannotGetJdbcConnectionException: Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: Establish connection error.
...
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28001: the password has expired

and
org.springframework.jdbc.CannotGetJdbcConnectionException: Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: Establish connection error.
...
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28000: the account is locked

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to P6 Web URL in browser
  2. See Error
  3. View P6 logs for causes
