Errors '500--Internal Server Error' and 'ORA-28000: the account is locked' When Connecting to P6 Web (Doc ID 2147715.1)

Symptoms

When connecting to the P6 Web login page, the following error occurs:

Error 500 - Internal Server Error
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

The following errors can also be found in the P6WebAccess.html log file:

org.springframework.jdbc.CannotGetJdbcConnectionException: Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: Establish connection error.
...
Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28001: the password has expired

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the P6 Web URL in browser.
  2. View the first error.
  3. View other errors in the P6 EPPM log file.
