1. Describe how the current product is insufficient.
When multiple user's are editing same Goal Plan or EE/Mgr both editing the same Goal Plan that has not been submitted. Concurrent editing of Goal plan is not supported - which is per design. However, we receive three related error messages at different times - and they are not consistent and are nor user friendly and do not tell the user what to do in order to proceed with the action they need to take 1. Another User has used the row with the primary key oracle.jbo key 2. Another User has used the row with the primary key oracle.jbo key while editing weights 3. An application error has occurred. See incident log for more information
2. Provide a detailed description of the Enhancement Request.
We would like one consistent error message to be provided to the user when concurrent updates are attempting to be made that is in English form (not technical speak) and how to try the action again so they are able to make the updates they desire to make.
3. If possible, identify how the product can be changed to achieve the desired result.
Perhaps a message such as: Another user is attempting to update the information you requested. Please try your request again once the user has completed their transaction.
4. Explain why Oracle Development should consider the Enhancement Request.
Making the product user friendly for the business - makes less support calls. And if the messages are consistent then users do not think they are receiving different errors and logging more support requests. Some users do not understand the term primary key. And did not know to try again.
5. Describe how this Enhancement will benefit the Customers business.
Less support calls. More confidence in system errors. Users providing the intended action: updating their info.
6. Is this Enhancement affecting an implementation milestone?
7. Please provide and describe the business flow that is affected by this Enhancement.
