Item Import Taking Couple Of Hours For 1 Item Record and it is getting rescheduled to a future time every 10 minutes (Doc ID 2152571.1)

Symptoms

 Whenever Item Import is completing successfully, it is taking very reasonable time. But if it completes with error, for a single Item record it is taking Couple Of  Hours.

Also Item Import is getting rescheduled to a future time every 10 minutes.
