Fusion Absence Management: Evaluate Absence Process - difference in duration and balance

The case is that the user is having an absence entry in the past. For example, if the user puts a calendar event for the past that comes within the period of the absence entry and run the 'evaluate absence' process, the balance for the relevant absence plan gets updated correctly. However, the absence entry duration does not change to match this balance.
