Symptoms



WSDL cannot be accessed or is invalid SOAP Connection

User was trying to import a web service with basic authentication but a message pops up "WSDL cannot be accessed or is invalid". The Doc ID 2024767.1 says that there is a bug and mentions a workaround "workaround allows the access site requesting user / pwd by using action button with URL option (URL including any requested parameter plus user and password)" but I cannot find the steps to actually make the workaround.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Application Composer > Common Setup> Web Services
2. Create a new web service reference.
3. Enter the WSDL URL
4. Click Read WSDL

Due to this issue, users cannot import a WSDL which is username and password protected.
