AGENT: Selection of Shipping Method on Create Order Page Can Hit a Long Delay (Doc ID 2158159.1)

Symptoms

This appears to be a performance issue with the OCC Agent UI. A long delay is only seen on Internet Explorer. Firefox and Chrome also show a delay but the timing is short enough that the system is usable. In the problem case
with IE, the Agent UI is very slow to update  taking approximately 1 minute for the agent's new selection of Shipping Method on the Create Order page. The interface is unusable in this same period of time.

Note that you don't see the spinner animated overlay to indicate feedback during the delay. None of the UI controls are responsive to clicks until the operation completes. Eventually the spinner does appear for less than a second and then
vanishes. At this point, the UI returns to a usable state and the newly selected radio button under Shipping Method appears as selected. The system does right itself, but the long delay may lead the agent to assume that the user interface is dead.
