State Field- List Of Values(Lov) Disappears When We Try To Make Contact Address Mandatory On A Lead And Click Lead Conversion Button (Doc ID 2158783.1)

Goal

The requirement to make sure the contact address in the lead object is required when the user clicks the Lead Conversion button. The following scripts were added:

  if(PrimaryContactCity == null || PrimaryContactCity == "" || PrimaryContactAddress1 == null || PrimaryContactAddress1 == ""){
  throw new oracle.jbo.ValidationException('Address Line 1 and City are mandatory for Lead Conversion')
  }
  else{
  return true

}
else{
  return true
}

The script is working as expected. After the user receives the popup message box, the user attempts to enter the State field, the State list of values are no longer available.
The only way is to cancel out and come back into the Lead object.
