Lead: Can the Contact Phone field be automatically updated when Mobile/Work phone are changed for Contact in its detailed layout?

Customer is following the below flow:
1. On "Test Lead" lead he has as a Primary Contact "Test Contact" contact;
2. He is going on "Test Contact" and he is adding a new value for the Work Phone field;
3. When going again to edit lead layout, the Primary Contact is still "Test Contact", but the Contact Phone for it is not updated automatically, as per the change made at step 2.
If customer is removing the Primary Contact just to add the same one after, then the Contact Phone field of the Lead is populated with the new value. But customer doesn't want it as this. They want to have it automatically changed. Is this achievable?
