Duplicate Campaign Getting Assigned To Audience Lists while trying to associate campaigns to leads and opportunities

When a Campaign is created a duplicate record is getting created.The ‘duplicate’ campaign is now showing a ‘dummy list’ against a source code which is not the correct one.
A duplicate campaign has always appeared but the corresponding ‘dummy list’ appeared for the correct source code campaign.
When we search for the duplicate Campaign, this is not visible from the Marketing Campaign page.
Can you let us know why a duplicate Campaign is getting created and how the dummy list is assigned to duplicate campaign.
This creates a lot of issue as we tag them to leads and opportunities and later might also effect the reporting.
