Custom Object Workflow condition: How to create a notification at parent object level based on 2 fields from child object? (Doc ID 2168006.1)

There is a parent custom object called Sample. And a child Object called Sample Child.

The goal is to send a notification for approval if 2 fields from Sample Child met a certain condition.

The initial script used in this WF was:

def RE=SampleChildCollection_c
def a=RE.getAttribute('ExtendedAmount1_c')
def b=RE.getAttribute('ExtendedCost1_c')
if(a==0 && b>=100 && IndustryManagerStatus_c != 'APPROVED' )
return true

This also interfered with a script present on the Sample Child object and threw the following error: Exception in expression "Sample1_c.Industry_Manager_Approval_ATTR": groovy.lang.MissingMethodException: No signature of method etc.
