This issue is related to misconfiguration of roles and as a result another effect seen by users could be the inability to launch/acccess OSN.
After performing sharing the Objects from Fusion Application (FAPPS) to Oracle Social Network (OSN) using the steps outlined in:

<Document 2026063.1> How To Enable Social Object in Fusion Apps Release 9 ?
the social network button is still missing from the social objects.
In the task "Oracle Social Network Objects", "Trading Community Model" for the account social object was enabled.
However, in the manage customer form the social button is not shown, nor is the customer visible from OSN.
This social button is available for other objects.
