P6 Professional Hangs After Importing Large XER File

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When importing a large sized (70mb or greater) XER file (typically containing numerous projects), all project data appears to import, then the application appears to hang (possibly for hours) until the 'Import Finished' message is received.
During this time, the application may display a "not responding" state.
